The heat element allows the air to be heated up before the blower has it dispersed all around the home. Your furnace cannot produce any warmed air for the house if the heat element will not work right.
General indicators that your your primary heating element will not last the year
- Element appears worn, broken and falling apart
- No heat is being supplied by your furnace for an extended period of time
- Furnace element does not heat up or reach the desired temperature because it is probably worn out
