Lennox HP13-018 Expansion Valve
A normal AC expansion valve makes it easier for the refrigerant to expand back to its low-pressure gas state from a high pressure liquid state. Any home AC unit could not emit cold air if the expansion valve was totally worn out.
Major warnings of a deteriorating expansion valve
- AC unit takes too long in its bid to bring down the temperature
- The cooled air is not as cool as than the usual air coming from the air handler
