Lennox HP13-024 Flame Sensor
A flame sensor is one of the safety features that can reliably detect the precise flame in accordance with the initial ignition sequence. For obvious reasons, if the sensor produces an error the system will halt until the problem is remedied and the system is reset.
What warnings should I watch out for to know if my safety flame sensor is in need of a replacement?
- Your gas furnace is unwilling to ramp up when the thermostat kicks in
- HVAC system kicks in infrequently barely
- Any type of gas that has entered the furnace will not even try to begin an ignition sequence and shuts off
