Lennox HP13-030 Limit Switch
The reason limit switches exist is because if the air is not warm enough the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts. A normal limit switch has a sensor in the air handler that can determine if and when the air is warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air.
Major signs of a dying limit switch
- The heating and cooling system will not begin the ignition sequence or continue to run for any significant length if time
- The system starts to behave differently frequently
