Lennox HP13-036 Limit Switch
The limit switch contains a sensor in the heat exchanger that senses, or governs, when the heated air is warmed to a point for the air to begin normal home circulation. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is because if the air never warms up then you will never get hot air through the ducts.
Major symptoms of a worsening critical limit switch
- The heating and AC system refuses to start or will not stay running even though max temp has not been reached
- The Lennox system begins to initiate and then stops repeatedly
