A very basic thermistor is a certain type of resistor which has a resistance that is directly proportioned to thermal temperature. They tell the circuit board when a temperature reaches a certain point. The control board interprets the temperature throughout the whole system to be sure everything is going well.
Some warnings the temp-regulating thermister will have to be replaced
- The entire system may not even begin to function due to a malfunctioning thermistor
- Main blower refuses to begin to ramp up
