Lennox HP40-024 Limit Switch
Limit switches are built because if the warmed air is too cool the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. A normal limit switch has a sensor in the heat exchanger that makes the determination if and when the air is warmed to a point for the air to begin normal home circulation.
Important signs limit switch needs replacing ASAP
- The Lennox system is beginning to behave differently more often than not
- System is unable to start or run well even though max temp has not been reached
