Your furnace is unable to generate nearly enough heated air for the whole home if your heat element goes bad. The heating element lets the air be heated prior to the blower having it circulated all around the home.
Signs the heating element will need replacing
- The element itself has difficulty in its ability to heat up or reach the desired temperature because it is probably worn out
- Element appears old, damaged and in rough shape
- There is a lack of heat created by the system for an extended period of time
