The defrost sensor control board initiates an important defrosting cycle which assists to remove frost build-up that may accumulate. The control board depends on a temperature sensor located somewhere by the condenser to agree when the defrost cycle should begin.
Signs of a weak defrost board
- The main control board may show an error number if the defrost board goes out
- Unit defrost session refuses to run even though there is a large amount of frost that has built up
- The system will not operate due to the fact of way too much frost build-up
