Lennox HPXB15-060 Defrost Sensor Board
The defrost control board controls if and when to commence the defrost sequence in order to rid your unit of frost that can build up. The defrost board is relayed information from a temperature sensor which is near the condenser somewhere, in order to decide when the defrost cycle should begin.
Signs the AC defrost sensor board is dead
- Air conditioning may not work due in part to the safety issue that the frost poses
- Defrost session never initiates even though there is a lot of frost that makes the unit run like crap
- Your main control board could throw a type of error code produced by a bad defrost control board
