This heat element forces the air to be warmed prior to being dispersed throughout the house. Your heating system cannot produce the warmed air for the whole home if the heat element is broken.
Red flags of a worsening heat element
- There is no heat emitted by the heat element for an extended period of time
- Internal heat element does not look good, stressed and in dire need of replacing
- The heat element will not heat up or get hot enough anymore
