Lennox OF25-120 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch has a sensor in the heat exchanger that determines when the air is warmed to a point for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air. Limit switches were created due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger then the house will never get warm enough.
What warnings are present when my limit type switch really is failing?
- The HVAC system will not begin the ignition sequence or will not stay running longer than a minute
- The system is starting to stop suddenly on more than one occasion
