Lennox RL-45 Blower Wheel
The main blower wheel is the squirrel cage attached to the blower motor that is used in order to provide air circulation to a dwelling. It is also named a squirrel cage due to a funny alikeness of a rather large hamster wheel. Whatever name you use, it is still a crucial device of any HVAC system that needs proper air pressure within the ductwork.
Signs that the main blower wheel has little life left
- A rattling sound is audible as the HVAC begins
- You notice less flow of air from the system
- If one of the fins has broken off and looks unbalanced when it spins
