Lennox XC13-060 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is in charge of cooling the compressor, due to the large amount of heat that needs to be dispelled into the air. Take the time to ensure the new motor has the voltage that is the same and amperage listed as on the current fan motor. It can be replaced solely on its own, this makes replacing it a lot easier to do and it is something you can do yourself.
What are the clues to watch out for to know my Lennox fan motor needs replacing?
- The compressor cooling motor starts to smoke or throws sparks while it is spinning
- An audible grinding sound while the motor is beginning to turn
- The Lennox motor does not move at all
