A basic electrical transformer is used for many products which also includes your heating system as it is used to convert electrical output usually from a higher voltage to a lower voltage. Transformers may have specific specs and must adhere to strict voltage requirements. If a transformer needs replacing, make sure you buy the one that is rated for the correct voltage that is needed.
