Lennox XC15-030 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch has a sensor located in the furnace that senses, or governs, when the heated air is warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air. Limit switches are built due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool then you will never get hot air through the ducts.
How do you know if your chief limit switch is on its last leg?
- The Lennox system starts to run erratically on a regular basis
- System will not begin or will not stay running even though max temp has not been reached
