The Lennox XC17 control board is designed to operate the gas valve, the igniter, the flame sensor and the blower all at once. Your air handler will be unable to operate whatsoever without this vital piece of hardware is installed. Be very careful when you are choosing a replacement board due to the vast differences in heating and cooling systems. The board you choose will have a part number that will match both the brand and specific model of HVAC system.
