Lennox XC17 Limit Switch
The main reason limit switches are made is because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts. The limit switch contains a sensor located in the furnace that decides when the heated air is warmed to a point for the air to begin normal home circulation.
What are the clues to watch out for to know my limit type switch really has a need to be replaced?
- The heating and cooling system refuses to start or will not stay running as it should
- The HVAC system begins to go through the startup sequence but stops quickly more often than not
