Some pros have referred to the vent motor as a draft inducer, as it supplies good draft for an unpolluted and safer combustion.The ventilation motor was designed in order to move air and excess gas out from the furnace.
General warnings of an inadequate draft inducer
- Main blower does not function
- Plenty of power given to the draft inducing motor yet the motor stands perfectly still
- Main draft inducer does nothing at the beginning of the onset of the startup sequence
