Lennox XC21-024 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a switch in the heat exchanger that makes the determination when the heated air is actually warm enough for the blower to be activated. The reason limit switches exist is because if the air is not warm enough then you will never get hot air through the ducts.
How do you know if your limit switch most likely is dying?
- The HVAC system will not begin nor will it stay running like it should
- The Lennox system is beginning to ramp up but then stops occasionally
