Lennox XC21 Limit Switch
The limit switch has a sensor located in the furnace that can determine when the air is warmed to a point so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents. The main reason limit switches are made is because if the air never warms up the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
What are some hints that my chief limit switch is almost dead?
- The heating and AC system will not begin or run even though max temp has not been reached
- The Lennox system is beginning to stop suddenly on a regular basis
