Lennox XP13-036 Expansion Valve
Your home AC system contains an expansion valve that facilitates in helping the refrigerant to expand into its normal low-pressure vapor state from a liquid. The AC in a split system would be impossible to cool the home if the expansion valve was either damaged or just not working properly.
