Lennox XP13-060 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch has a sensor in the heating area that can determine when the heated air is warm enough for the blower to be activated. The main reason limit switches are made is because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, then you will never get hot air through the ducts.
Important signs critical limit switch is failing
- The HVAC system refuses to kick in or continue to run longer than a minute
- The whole system is starting to shut down unexpectedly frequently
