Lennox XP14-018 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor is responsible for cooling the outdoor compressor, due to the large amount of heat must be discharged into the air outside. The motor can be replaced with or without the blade, this may make it a lot easier and make it a probable DIY project. Please make sure the new motor has the correct voltage and the correct amp listing as on the current fan motor.
Simple indications of a worsening compressor fan motor
- The cooling motor smells burnt or shorts out while it tries to spin
- An unknown rubbing noise as the motor starts
- The Lennox cooling motor cannot turn at all
