Lennox XP14-030 Defrost Sensor Board
The defrost sensor board determines when or if to start an important defrosting cycle if necessary, to continue normal heating and cooling operations. The defrost board looks to a specific sensor that can be found near the condenser, in order to decide when to initiate the defrosting cycle.
Red flags your defrost board is going to die
- The main circuit board could signify a particular error code referring to the failed defrost sequence
- The system may not operate at all because of frost blocking the fins on the outside unit
- The defrost feature never begins especially when there is a rather large amount of frost that makes the unit run like crap
