Limit switches are built because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, then the house will never get warm enough. The limit switch is a switch in the air handler that determines when the air is actually warm enough that it can be circulated throughout the house.
What red flags are there that my limit switch is crapping out?
- System will not initiate or will not stay running even though max temp has not been reached
- The system starts to runs spotty more often than not
