Lennox XP14-048 Limit Switch
Limit switches exist due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts. The limit switch contains a sensor located in the furnace that decides when the heated air is warmed to a point so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents.
How do you know if your limit type switch really is about to go out?
- Your Lennox system will not begin the ignition sequence or run well for any length of time
- The whole system is starting to become inconsistent from time to time
