Your furnace is unable to produce the heated air to heat the home properly if the heating element goes out. The main heat element causes cold air to be warmed before it is dispersed throughout the house.
Some warnings of a weakening main heat element
- There is a lack of heat made by your HVAC system at all
- The heat element can not heat up or get to max heat temp anymore
- The element seems old, damaged and in need of replacement
