An ignition control board has control over gas flow, the igniter and other safety devices built into the system. It has been a very important electronic safety board that is usually a part of the main control board instead of its own individual board.

- Communication from the home thermostat never makes it to the control board

- HVAC ignition system will not begin then the thermostat send a signal
