A transformer is used for many products which also includes your heating system and it transforms household electrical current usually from a higher voltage to a lower voltage. Transformers can have different specs so make sure you meet the voltage needs. When one needs replacing, make sure to get one that is assessed for the correct voltage that is required.
Clues of an ineffective main transformer
- Wrong voltage is found stemming from the system transformer
- System transformer physically looks damaged or perhaps smokes when it is in use
- No power coming from the transformer while using a measuring device
