Lennox XP16-060 Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is only used on furnaces that burn gas and is one that will sense the precise flame during the initial ignition of the furnace. As with most devices used for safety reason, if the sensor generated a error the system will halt until the problem is remedied and the system is reset.
Some clues to watch for in a bad Lennox flame sensor
- The furnace refuses to begin operations and shows an error code on the board
- HVAC system operates infrequently whenever it pleases
- LP or natural gas refuses to try to burn and the board throws an error
