Lennox XP19-036 Flame Sensor
The flame sensor can only be found on furnaces that burn a gas. It is a safety sensor that can sense the flame during the initial ignition of the furnace. As with any other safety sensor, if the sensor generated a error the whole HVAC system will remain stopped until the problem is remedied and the system is reset.
Major signs the primary flame sensor will soon need to be replaced
- The heating system will sort of operate occasionally whenever it pleases
- Your heating system cannot produce heat when the control board tells it to
- The gas supplying the furnace refuses to properly ignite and the system throws an error code
