The main reason limit switches are made is because if the warmed air is too cool then you will never get hot air through the ducts. A normal limit switch is a switch in the air handler that senses, or governs, if and when the air is warmed to a point for the air to begin normal home circulation.
Subtle hints limit switch will have to be replaced
- Your Lennox system will not begin the ignition sequence or continue to run even though the desired temperature has not been attained
- The whole system begins to shut down unexpectedly often

If you are going to be buying or purchasing, do your due diligence and make sure of the correct model and also make a visual inspection in order to be sure the correct replacement limit switch is the one being purchased. There is no rule that says you have to install the part by yourself. Find a professional in your community to do the job for you.
