Mitsubishi MSH-09NV Flame Sensor
A flame sensor is only used on furnaces that burn gas and is one that will consistently detect the precise flame during the initial ignition of the furnace. For obvious reasons, if the sensor goes off the gas valve is shut off and the system halts until that particular problem is fixed.
Red flags the primary flame sensor needs a replacement ASAP
- The furnace starts sometimes when it feels like it
- The LP or natural gas has problems trying to begin an ignition sequence and the board throws an error
- Your gas furnace is unwilling to generate heat and shuts down
