Your furnace will not be able to supply nearly enough heated air to efficiently heat, if the heating element goes out. The heat element causes the air to be warmed before being spread through the ducts.
What are the signs that the system heat element is about to go out?
- The heat element refuses to heat up or not warm enough to produce heat due to being worn out
- There is no heat delivered by your HVAC system for an extended period of time
- Heat element looks like its wearing through, stressed and looks like it should be replaced
