A conversion kit allows a furnace to switch energy sources from a particular energy source to perhaps something cheaper, maybe from natural gas to propane that needs to be delivered or vice versa. Conversion kits are definitely not available for all furnaces. Buying a conversion kit is only possible for specific ones that are designed with converting in mind. If a conversion kit is made for your model system you may want to consider having it fitted by your local HVAC guy, so as to remain safe from catastrophe.

- Optionally being able to reinstate the first setup and go back to the first fuel type if you feel like it
- Lowered expenses of burning one source of gas over the other all without having to purchase a new setup
