A basic electrical transformer is quite common in electrical appliances including heating and cooling systems as it usually converts electricity from a particular voltage to a different one. If you have to replace a transformer, be sure to replace it with one that is properly measured to the right voltage that will be needed by the system. Transformers can all be different and you must follow specific volts called for with the original.
What are some indications that my Mitsubishi transformer is crapping out?
- Voltage transformer shows damage or may look broken when it is in use
- Extremely low voltage can be found exiting the HVAC transformer for whatever reason
- Flawed voltage is calculated coming from the system transformer
