Mitsubishi MSZ-FE12NA-8 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor has the main duty of cooling the outdoor compressor, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat must be discharged into the air outside. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced sans the blade, this tends to make things easier and a little less costly, as well. Just make sure the new motor has the correct voltage listed and amps as it is on the current motor.
Signals the cooling fan motor will need to be replaced
- The motor starts to smoke or sparks as it spins
- An audible scraping sound when the motor speeds up
- The Mitsubishi motor does not move at all
