Mitsubishi MSZ-GA22VA Flame Sensor
A flame sensor can only be found on furnaces that burn a gas. It is a safety sensor that senses the flame during the initial ignition of the furnace. As with any other safety sensor, if the sensor generated a error the furnace cannot start again until the problem is dealt with.
Signs the Mitsubishi flame sensor should need replacing
- System kicks in infrequently barely
- The gas furnace cannot supply heat and completely shuts down
- The gas that has entered the furnace will not even try to start an ignition sequence and closes the gas valve
