Mitsubishi MSZ-GE09NA Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor has a unique job of cooling the outdoor compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat energy has to be driven away. Be certain the new motor has the same voltage and amps as it is on the current motor. The motor can be replaced as a whole unit with the blade or by itself, which this tends to make things easier and will reduce the costs you need to pay.
Indications your fan motor is dying
- You can hear a grinding sound while the motor starts
- The Mitsubishi cooling motor tries but fails to turn the blade
- The compressor cooling motor smells burnt or sparks when it begins to turn
