A basic electrical transformer is used in many applications which includes your forced air system as it converts a certain amount of electricity and switches it to a different voltage range. Transformers can have different specs so make sure you meet the electrical needs. If any transformer needs to be swapped out, be sure to buy one properly measured to the right voltage that will be demanded by the device.
What are the signs that the electrical transformer is in need of a replacement?
- Inexact volts is calculated coming from the chief transformer
- The volt dropping transformer looks like it is ready to fall apart or maybe smells burnt while in use
- Zero volts measured departing a main transformer while using a voltmeter
