Mitsubishi MUZ-GE12NA Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is only found on gas furnaces. It is a sensor that can sense the flame during the initial ignition of the furnace. As with any other safety sensor, if the sensor goes off everything remains shut off until that particular problem is fixed.
Major clues the Mitsubishi flame sensor is dying
- The unit turns on sporadically only
- Any type of gas that has entered the furnace finds it impossible to burn no matter what
- Your gas furnace is unwilling to produce heat and shows an error code on the board
