The compressor fan motor is primarily in charge of keeping the compressor cool, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat that needs to be dissipated. The unit may be replaced sans the blade, this results in a simpler type of replacement and cheaper for you. It is critical that the replacement motor has the same voltage and the same amps as it is on the bad motor.
