The fan motor has a specific duty of cooling the outdoor compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat must be driven away. It is important that you are able to buy one with the proper voltage and the proper amount of amperage as it is on the current motor. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced on its own without the blade, this may make it a lot easier and reduce costs overall.
