NewAir AC-10100E Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a thermal resistor, whose rated resistance is dependent on the thermal temperature. The main control board must know the temp throughout the whole system to make a decision on what needs to be done. They can tell the heating and cooling system when a certain temperature has been reached.
Red flags your all-important thermister will need replacing
- The system blower may refuse in its attempt to ramp up to full speed
- The initial sequence may not initiate the starting sequence due to any one stuck thermistor
