Heating and cooling systems will not even be able to function without the main control board hooked up and is correctly configured. The control board is created to regulate the gas valve, the ignition igniter, all the sensors and the blower all at once. The brand of board you choose will have to be compatible with both the brand and specific model of air handler system you have. You should always be careful when you choose a control board due to the many differences between models within certain brands.
