NewAir AC-14000H Limit Switch
The limit switch contains a sensor in the air handler that makes the determination if and when the air is warmed to a point that it can be circulated throughout the house. Limit switches exist because if the air never warms up the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
Key clues of a barely functioning critical limit switch
- The system is beginning to ramp up but then stops frequently
- The heating and AC system will not begin or continue to run even though the desired temperature has not been attained
