A transformer is used frequently in anything electrical which also includes your heating system as it converts a certain amount of electricity usually from a higher voltage to a lower voltage. When any transformer needs to be replaced, make sure to purchase on that is assessed for the correct voltage that is needed. Transformers may have specific specs and must adhere to strict necessary voltage readings.

- The main transformer looks as if it has melted slightly or could smell like its burning when it has electricity going through it
