Nordyne CMF Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor has a unique job of cooling the compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat has got to be driven away. Be sure the replacement motor has the exact voltage and correct amp current as it is on the current motor. It can be replaced without needing to replace the fan blade, this results in an easier installation and a little less costly, as well.
Some clues of a defective condenser fan motor
- An unknown rubbing noise while the cooling fan starts
- The Nordyne motor cannot turn the blade
- The motor begins to smoke or sparks as it is used
