Nordyne E3EX-015H Flame Sensor
A flame sensor can only be found on furnaces that burn a gas. It is a safety sensor that can sense the exact flame during ignition. As with most safety features, if the sensor goes off everything remains shut off until the problem is repaired.
General indicators that your safety flame sensor will need to be replaced
- System turns on occasionally when it thinks it should
- The gas that has entered the furnace cannot properly ignite and shuts off
- The gas furnace refuses to produce heat no matter what
